An Aberdeen woman was sniffed out by police dogs after she tried to smuggle drugs into a music festival by hiding them in her bra.
Lucy Constantine, 28, had been attending Minival at the historic Drum Castle on Saturday, May 11, last year.
Fiscal Lynne MacIver yesterday told Aberdeen Sheriff Court that her ploy to sneak the substances past the entrance was foiled.
She said: “At 2.15pm she entered the festival at its only entrance.
“A police dog had given an indication she was in possession of an illegal drug.”
A total of 12 wraps of a substance, which she later told police was MDMA, were hidden in her bra.
The court was told that she said “I’m sorry” to the officers as the crime was uncovered.
The drugs had a street value of £250.
Defence agent Gregor Kelly had prepared a document which was read out by Sheriff Graham Buchanan in his absence.
He said: “She had bought a small amount when she was in Aberdeen the night before.
“She is not a regular taker of drugs and realises she has made a grave mistake and she now has to bear the consequences.”
Sheriff Buchanan imposed a £600 fine on Constantine.
She was among 24 people to be charged with drug offences at the festival.
