Lidl has asked the city council for permission to use part of its building on Hutcheon Street as a warehouse. This would allow Screwfix to move in to a secondary unit at the site, which is currently empty. The 4,800sq ft space would be approximately 80% warehouse, with 10% making up a trade counter where goods can be sold to customers. Plans submitted to the council say no external changes to the building would be required. In the statement, Lidl also says the move would create new jobs.
