A driver has been taken to hospital after a crash on the outskirts of Stonehaven.
Emergency services had to close off the A90 northbound between the junction leading into the Aberdeenshire town and Cleanhill junction at around 2pm due to the incident.
Traffic was forced to ground to a halt after a van towing a car on a trailer was involved in a collision.
A police spokeswoman said: “Police received report of a one vehicle road traffic crash on the A90 northbound between the Stonehaven junction and Cleanhill junction, involving a van towing a car on a trailer.
“The driver has been taken to hospital for treatment. Inquiries are ongoing.”
