Fraserburgh’s Argos store will reopen tomorrow, almost four months after an enforced closure as part of the coronavirus lockdown.
The Sainsbury’s-owned UK chain has quashed rumours the South Harbour Road branch is earmarked for closure, after residents speculated about its fate on social media as stores further south reopened.
A firm spokeswoman said: “On June 15, we started a first phase of Argos standalone store openings and there are now over 170 standalone Argos stores open to customers for collection and return.
“We also recently announced that we’re working to reopen more stores this month as part of our phased approach.
“The Argos in the South Harbour Road retail park will be included in this second phase and is due to reopen next week.
“The store is looking forward to welcoming back customers and colleagues.”
