An Aberdeen childminder has received a glowing review after a visit from inspectors.
Kym’s Little Rascals Child Minding Service, based in Bucksburn, was visited by the Care Inspectorate in March.
Inspectors have since released their report into the quality of care at the facility, and declared it “very good” – the top grade available.
The report states: “The childminder supported children well and, as a result, children were progressing well and were forming secure emotional attachments within the service.
“The childminder had a very good understanding of the children’s needs, how they learn and develop and how this related to the children in her care. This allowed her to focus support on the children’s individual needs very well.
“She knew when to step in and when to remove herself, allowing the child freedom to organise their own play.”
A child present when inspectors visited the service, run by Kym Grant, was found to be “curious about the world around him” and able to use a variety of toys and activities to fuel his interests.
