An Inverness technology company is raising cash for the Highland Hospice by giving away free masks to customers in return for a donation.
Robert McKendrick, owner of the Inverness Computer Centre, said he will double all that is raised from the donations over the next three months.
Wearing a mask became mandatory inside Scottish shops last week.
Mr McKendrick said: “We sent for a consignment of masks to enable us to make a ‘no mask, no problem’ offer to clients calling in at our Greig Street premises.
“There is no charge here, but we’re asking each user for a small donation to the hospice, whose fundraising has been so badly hit by the lockdown.
“The sum raised will in turn be matched by us, to help a good local cause.”
Mr McKendrick, who launched the business 32 years ago, said during the pandemic the Inverness Computer Centre had been providing online services.
But with restrictions lifting, he and his colleagues have enjoyed being back under one roof.
He added: “It’s great to have our team back together in the one place.
“And stocking the masks will help people from businesses and individual clients alike as they take their laptops in, or stock up on supplies.”
