All disabled public conveniences will be open to visitors at Aden Country Park later this week.
That promise comes after Aberdeenshire Council failed to reopen all of its wheelchair-friendly loos at the Mintlaw park on Saturday.
Disabled visitors took to social media to complain over wasted journeys after finding the Coach House facilities closed despite them being advertised as open.
An Aberdeenshire Council spokesman said: “Toilet facilities reopened to members of the public this weekend at Aden and other country parks thanks to the thorough cleaning regimes being maintained by council staff.
“An issue surrounding access to the disabled toilet at the Coach House was brought to our attention, however we can confirm that this facility – along with the two other disabled toilets which remained available on the day in question – will be fully accessible to visitors later this week.”
The visitor attraction closed to the public in March following the coronavirus outbreak, reopening a takeaway café for orders in early June and its playpark later that month.
Its public conveniences had to remain closed until hygiene guidance was received.
