A north-east drama group is prepared for its first ever online show.
The Fraserburgh Junior Arts Society (FJAS) was due to bring the musical 9 to 5 to life in the town’s Dalrymple Hall, but this was postponed to 2021.
The group’s annual summer shows have been a “staple of Fraserburgh life for decades” and vice-president Stephen Summers said they were “so disappointed” when they were left with no other choice but to cancel.
Now in a determined effort to continue tradition and give the group the chance to entertain locals, they will take a show online this week.
Mr Stephen said: “We received great support from our community following this decision so we decided to think of ways we could bring them some enjoyment from the comfort of their homes.
“Our online concert features many talented local people with varying years of experience and is a celebration of FJAS musicals we have produced over the years.
“We believe there will be something for everyone and is a show not to be missed.”
Members will showcase songs from musicals including We Will Rock You, Bugsy Malone, West Side Story, Sister Act, Honk and Back to the 80s.
The show will feature performances by Elly Jay, Kim Donn, Derek Carle, Lynne McPherson and local band Steady Beat, featuring some young FJAS alumni.
It will be streamed on the FSJA Facebook page on Friday at 7pm.
