Police are hunting the driver of a BMW who failed to stop after crashing into another car at an Aberdeen roundabout.
A silver BMW smashed into the passenger side of a red Fiat Punto as it left the roundabout heading onto School Road in Seaton at about 6.20pm on Saturday.
The Fiat was forced nose first into a nearby set of railings, and the driver of the other car then proceeded to drive off without stopping to exchange insurance details or share information with the police.
Officers were called to attend the scene and could be seen creating a perimeter around the vehicle.
Photos posted on social media showed that a number plate had fallen off the front of the silver BMW during the incident.
Damage to the red Fiat appears to be mostly on the rear passenger door and the front of the car.
A police spokeswoman said: “At around 6.20pm on Saturday, officers were called to the King Street area of Aberdeen, following a crash which took place at the St Machar roundabout with School Road.
“The incident involved a red Fiat Punto and a silver BMW, which left the scene before providing any details. The driver of the Fiat Punto was assessed by ambulance but did not suffer any serious injuries.
“Inquiries into the incident are ongoing.”
