The vessel is currently 30 to 35 miles north of Fraserburgh and got into difficulty just after 4pm. Shetland coastguard is currently in attendance after being called out to assist as a lifeboat from Fraserburgh is also on its way to help. A spokesman for Fraserburgh RNLI said the lifeboat was nearly at the scene and the plan was to tow the fishing boat back to Fraserburgh.
