A popular Aberdeen bar has closed for a deep clean after a spike of coronavirus cases in the city.
Prohibition made the decision to close for the night to give the bar an intense clean.
The Langstane Place venue released a statement online stating that customer safety was the top priority.
The move comes after a cluster of cases have been linked back to the The Hawthorn Bar, on Holburn Street.
Soul Bar, on Union Street, has also been widely criticised over the lack of social distancing in the queue on Saturday night.
A statement released by Prohibition said: “Unfortunately due to the spike in Covid cases in Aberdeen we have decided to close for this evening in order to complete a deep clean of the premises and ensure the highest standards possible.
“Customer and staff safety is our upmost priority and we thank you for your understanding.”
