Residents of an Aberdeenshire village are being urged to lock their garages and sheds after a spate of thefts in the area.
Bicycles, small recreational motor vehicles, tools, petrol cans and a set of golf clubs were stolen from properties in Kintore last week.
The incidents took place between 7pm on Tuesday, May 20, and 10am on Friday, May 23, in the Kingsfield Road and Torryburn areas.
Investigating Officer, constable Richard Barnwell, said: “It appears that these incidents are linked, and local residents are reminded to secure all outbuildings and garages in order to deter these criminals.
“It is thought that the persons responsible would be operating during the early hours of the morning – residents who are active at this time are asked to be vigilant of anything suspicious and contact police immediately.”
Anyone with information can contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
