Police are appealing for the public’s help in tracing a man who has been reported missing from a north-east village.
Vaclav Trejbal was last seen at Braemar Mountain Sports on Invercauld Road shortly after 9.00am on August 4 and is believed to be mountain biking in the Braemar and Aviemore area.
The 34-year-old man, who is Czech, is described as 5ft 11ins tall, of slim build with short brown hair.
He was last seen wearing a blue or grey waterproof jacket, cycling shorts and a fluorescent yellow cycling helmet.
He is believed to be using a black and orange bike to travel from Braemar to Granton on Spey.
Constable Ashley Stewart, of Stonehaven Police Station, said: “Vaclav is a keen walker and cyclist and has believed to have travelled some distance and may have got lost.
“Searches have been ongoing in the Braemar and Boat of Garten areas.
“If anyone has seen Vaclav or if he himself sees this appeal can he please make contact to let us know he is okay.
“Anyone with information can contact police on 101, quoting incident 3769 of 4 August.”
Police appeal to trace man reported missing from Braemar area
