A popular north-east visitor attraction will be shining bright once again next week.
The Museum of Scottish Lighthouses will welcome visitors on Wednesday for the first time since the easing of lockdown restrictions last month.
However, staff are warning visitors should expect a different experience due to the Scottish Government guidelines in place to help control the spread of Covid-19.
A spokeswoman said: “Our operations will be very different to our old ‘normal’ as the safety of all visitors and staff is our number one priority.
“We are still able to offer tours of the lighthouse but on a much reduced scale. Half hour tours will be run for groups or bubbles of a maximum of 10.
“This means one bubble for one guide at any one time. The guide will take you to the lighthouse to visit selected rooms before accompanying you back to the museum.”
As well as changes to the tours, the museum is now a one-way zone with markers and the tea room has a reduced capacity. Face covering must be worn during tours and shop visits, and when not seated in the cafe.
Tickets and visiting slots, available Wednesday to Sunday from 10am to 5pm, should now be booked in advance through the museum’s website.
