Two people have appeared in court today after more than £100,000 worth of cannabis was seized in Aberdeen. Police acting on intelligence stopped a white Range Rover on North Anderson Drive yesterday at 5,15pm. Upon searching the vehicle, they recovered a large amount of cannabis and a low four-figure sum of money. A search warrant was later carried out at a property on Oldtown Place where more cannabis was found. In total, the drugs are estimated to have a potential street value of £144,000. Claire Christie or Brenham, 43, and Rhys Whitley, 24, appeared in private at Aberdeen Sheriff Court today in connection with the matter. They both faced a charge of being concerned in the supply of drugs. The pair’s general address was given as Aberdeen and they made no plea during the hearing They were released on bail while the case against them was committed for further examination. No date has been fixed for their next appearance.
