The incident happened at 5.15pm, on the A920 Ellon to Pitmedden road, one-and-a-half miles from Ellon. In the aftermath of the one-vehicle accident, the car ended up on its roof on nearby ground, having left the road. No-one was injured and the fire was out by the time two appliances had arrived from Ellon. The car turned over on the Ellon Road Police closed the road to carry out inquiries, re-opening it just before 8pm. A 23-year-old man, and a woman, aged 24, were later charged with alleged road traffic offences.
