A 26-year-old has been arrested following the death of a man in Aberdeen today.
Police were called to an address on Jasmine Terrace, between King Street and Park Street, at around 10am today.
An injured man was rushed to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, however police have now confirmed he has died.
Officers say a 26-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident.
The road is currently taped off and police officers are present at the scene.
A major investigation has now been launched, however police don’t believe there to be any wider threat to the community at this time.
Detective inspector Gary Winter, from the police’s major investigations team, said: “Inquiries are at an early stage and there will be a significant police presence and activity in the area while we carry out our investigation into this incident.
“This would appear to have been an isolated incident, and there was no wider threat to the local community.
“Anyone who heard or saw anything in the area is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101.”
