A child was taken to hospital this morning after being hit by a car in Aberdeen.
A section of Victoria Road between Abbey Place and Mansfield Road in Torry was shut for around an hour with police and ambulance staff attending.
The 10-year-old boy was taken to Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital for treatment.
His injuries are not thought to be serious.
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “We received a call at 0749 this morning to attend an incident on Victoria Road, Aberdeen.
“An ambulance and a paramedic response unit were sent to the scene and a child was taken to the Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital for further treatment.”
The road was reopened shortly after 9am.
A police spokeswoman said: “Officers are currently in attendance at Victoria Road in Aberdeen after a crash involving a 10-year-old male pedestrian and a car.”
