Adventure-lovers who may have missed out on a cinema tour showing the latest inspiring outdoorsy films are being given a second chance to view them.
Banff Mountain Film Festival completed its annual tour of Scotland earlier this year, and now organisers are launching a virtual film festival, for viewers to enjoy from the comfort of their home over the next two months.
The online offerings feature two collections of films from the world’s best adventure film-makers, with super-human challenges, soulful journeys and spectacular cinematography from the wildest corners of the planet.
Tour director Nell Teasdale said: “As well as the epic films from the 2020 Banff tour, Backyard Theatre viewers will have access to exclusive behind-the-scenes footage from the tour and top adventure film-makers.
“Our legendary prize draw for goodies from leading outdoor brands will happen live on the night, and there will be lots of bonus content for the audience to explore in our virtual foyer too.”
The first programme, entitled Home, shows at 6.30pm on September 13 and will remain available to watch for 48 hours afterwards. The second programme Spectre Expedition: Mission Antarctica follows at the same time one week later. Both will be repeated from October 6-8 and October 13 – 15 respectively.
