A thousand people are expected to flock to Pitmedden Music Festival this weekend.
The gathering, which kicks off on Friday, has attracted praise from Aberdeenshire East MSP Alex Salmond.
Mr Salmond said: “This fantastic event will bring a wide range or music to the area, catering for all tastes and also providing volunteering opportunities which will greatly benefit the local community and beyond.”
The festival will be held on June 6-7 at the National Trust for Scotland’s Pitmedden Garden. The packed programme includes an eclectic mix of musical acts, ranging from street drummers to string orchestras, as well as workshops and children’s entertainment.
A range of local beers and ciders will also be on offer, along with food for visitors to sample.
