An Aberdeen bookshop could be turned into an Italian-American restaurant.
The proposals for a Di Maggio’s restaurant at the site of a former Waterstones store at the west end of Union Street will be reviewed by councillors in the near future.
The Glasgow-based group already has a premises in the Bon Accord Centre, and also owns an Amarone restaurant on Aberdeen’s main thoroughfare.
The company is seeking listed building consent to install a canopy at the entrance to the property and wrought-iron grills on lower sections of the windows.
It has also applied for permission to display adverts at the property at 269-271 Union Street.
