A police investigation into the death of an Aberdeen charity shop volunteer continued this morning.
Karen Gillanders, 41, was walking across King Street on the morning of Monday May 26 when she was struck by a white truck.
The accident happened at a pedestrian crossing in front of Aberdeen University’s King’s Lawn.
This morning police closed a section of the busy city road for an hour from Orchard Street to Regent Walk to conduct further investigations into the incident.
The same Reed Boardall truck involved in the incident was brought in by officers, who could be seen carrying out a series of measurements and checks on the vehicle and the road around it.
A Seaton man watching the police work being carried out said: “It’s an awful road.”
