The accident happened on the Inverurie to Kemnay road at Port Elphinstone around 8.35am. A spokesman for Police Scotland said: “A woman and her son were inside the vehicle and they have been taken to hospital with very minor injuries. “Fire brigade and ambulance were also in attendance.” Two fire engines from Inverurie were called to the incident. Fire fighters helped the pair escape from the car, but did not need to cut them free. A spokeswoman for Scottish Fire and Rescue said: “Two fire engines were called from Inverurie at 8.35am. “We have now left the scene.” A spokeswoman for the Scottish Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 8.30am and are in attendance but injuries are minor.”
