Shoppers will be able to raise money for sick children this weekend during a fun-filled day of activities in the city-centre.
The Bon Accord & St Nicholas centres will host a family fun day tomorrow to raise money for the Archie Foundation – the official charity of the Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital – and Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital in London.
The Bon Accord mall will have more than 30 stalls on offer, including the Busy Beasties fair, face painting and arts and crafts.
Staff at the Aberdeen Disney Store will even attempt to cycle the distance from Aberdeen to London to represent both charities.
Prizes will be on offer, including a 3D entertainment system, Malmaison vouchers, a party for 100 people at the Beach Ballroom and a signed Peter Pawlett Aberdeen FC shirt.
Craig Stevenson, Bon Accord & St Nicholas manager, said: “We are delighted to be supporting two great children’s charities, both of which have touched the lives of people within the north-east.”
David Cunningham, chief executive of The Archie Foundation, added: “This is a great day for sick children in Royal Aberdeen Children’s hospital when the heart of the city is showing them so much support.
“We are very grateful as the funds raised will help us to make a real difference for the children and their families in our 10th anniversary year.”
