Stonehaven woman Danielle Arthur will don her kilt and walk 26 miles with faithful dog Loki by her side this weekend.
The Childline counsellor of two years is completing the challenge on behalf of the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC), to help keep youngsters safe from abuse and neglect.
During lockdown, Childline services have experienced an increase in children and young people getting in touch about their mental and emotional health.
Having signed up for the annual Aberdeen Kiltwalk, which has been cancelled due to coronavirus, the tartan-clad duo will be taking on a “virtual Kiltwalk” over the weekend.
She said: “I’m lucky enough to get to see first-hand the amazing work that the NSPCC does through its Childline service, and I’d like to do something to make sure the work can continue as I know charities must be struggling in the current climate.”
