A man has been charged after driving on a north-east road while being more than four times the legal drink-drive limit.
The 28-year-old was caught by police on the A90 near Ellon this weekend.
In addition, a 58-year-old man was also arrested on the same road for drink-driving in a separate incident.
Formartine Community Policing Team reported both men to the Procurator Fiscal for allegedly driving under the influence.
The legal drink-drive limit is 22 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.
