Two fire appliances and the police were in attendance after four wheely bins were set alight in Cummings Park. Fire crews attended the incident at 4.34am and extinguished the blaze about half an hour later. A Scottish Fire and Rescue spokesman confirmed they were called out and that police were in attendance. He added: “The stop message came in at 5.02am.” A police spokeswoman added: “We were made aware of this fire near Oldtown Terrace, Aberdeen around 4.45am this morning, Thursday, 17 September. “It’s not being treated as suspicious at this time.”
