The cast of Emmerdale will return to the north-east this summer for a family fun day with a difference.
Over the years, the cast of the popular ITV soap have have helped raise thousands for various charities, including the Anthony Nolan Trust, by visiting Aberdeenshire for the Emmerdale Extravaganza, or last year’s country fair.
This year, they are backing the Wobbly Williams campaign and its sister organisation Funding Neuro by holding a wacky fun day at Storybook Glen, Maryculter.
The charity was founded by Parkinson’s sufferer Bryn Williams, and aims to fund research conditions that affect the brain and spinal column.
Now the cast are challenging the people of the north-east to take part in It’s a Wobbly Knockout to boost proceeds for the charity. Teams of five can be made up of family, friends or even work colleagues.
Other activities planned for the Wobbly Day Out on June 14 include the World Haggis Hurling Championships and for younger visitors, the Jellympics.
The cast will also be meeting fans, signing autographs for visitors, who will also be able to peruse a range of stalls selling goods and food.
Afterwards, a black tie dinner will be held within the grounds of Thainstone House Hotel, Inverurie – where guests can look forward to some exclusive musical performances from some of the Emmerdale cast. Tickets are limited.
