The full list of TSB branch closures across the UK

TSB has announced it plans to close 17 of its branches across the north and north-east.

They currently operate 135 branches across Scotland, with 73 of them set to be shut by the end of next year.

Our map below shows which branches are closing across the north and north-east – and where your nearest open one will be.

TSB said the closure of the branches was part of a three-year strategy announced back in November 2019.

The changes have been driven by a change in customer behaviour, including a reduction in the numbers using branches.

The bank says the branches have been selected to ensure 94% of its customers in Scotland remain within 20 minutes travel time of a branch.

Robin Bulloch, customer banking director at TSB, said: “These decisions are the most difficult we take, but we must always be guided by our customers – and we are clearly witnessing a substantial shift towards digital banking.

“TSB remains committed to offering high quality banking services in branches across Scotland.

“We are also introducing mobile advisers to ensure we look after vulnerable customers and those in rural locations.

“We are working to ensure the transition towards digital – which is being seen right across the economy – is handled sensitively and pragmatically for our colleagues and customers.”
