Aberdeen’s annual Highland Games takes place this weekend.
This year’s gathering will feature traditional favourites including heavy events, a pipe band competition, track and field contests and Highland dancing.
Children will be kept entertained with laser tag, a climbing wall and a zip slide, while grown-ups can enjoy the beer tent.
The whole family can also experience Segway rides and a flea circus, before shopping at the charity and trade stalls.
The games will be held between 10am and 5.30pm on Sunday at Hazlehead Park.
More than 10,000 people attended the 2013 gathering.
Lord Provost George Adam said it was one of the highlights of his year.
“I always look forward to Aberdeen’s Highland Games as there is a huge selection of things to see and do and there is always a great crowd, of all ages, making the day a fabulous occasion,” he said.
Tickets cost £9 for adults and £3 for children, with under-5’s going free. A family ticket can be purchased for £24 allowing entry for two adults and up to three children. Reduced ticket prices will be offered before noon.
