Four fire engines were called to tackle a blaze at a north-east farm.
The fire broke out in a farm building just north of Rothienorman just before 4am, with crews working for more than three hours to bring the flames under control.
Smoke spread across the fields around the farm, and the fire left one shed a burned-out wreck – with just the metal frame left standing.
A spokeswoman said: “We sent out four appliances from Turriff, Oldmeldrum, Insch and Inverurie.”
The stop message came through at 7.29am and the last appliance left the scene at 12.16pm.
There are no reports of injuries or anyone needing to be walked to safety.
