Final phase of St Nicholas demolition once again underway

The final stages of demolition on Aberdeen City Council’s former headquarters got underway today, following a two week delay in the work.
The process of demolishing the building was halted due to health and safety concerns raised by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).
These have now been resolved, and two “nibbler” machines are currently being used to remove what remains of the Broad Street and Flourmill Lane building.
The demolition of the premises is paving the way for a £107million revamp aimed at transforming the heart of the city centre.
