North-east wildlife photographers are being given a rare opportunity to capture images of birds of prey on Royal Deeside.
A hide at Glen Tanar Estate, near Aboyne, will be open for a few weeks, allowing visitors to snap away in secret.
Golden eagle chicks have hatched on the estate for generations and visitors will be able to photograph the adult raptors as they swoop in and out of the nest to feed their young.
Wildlife manager Colin McClean is one of the guides who will be accompanying photographers during the trips.
He said he expected the offer to be incredibly popular.
“We will only ever offer a handful of these sessions every year because we are committed to delivering and managing wildlife tourism activities in a careful and sustainable way,” he added.
“People generally tend to associate the west coast of Scotland as the country’s leading backdrop for wildlife photography, but the feedback we received after our initial sessions last year was that what we have here rivals anything to be found there.
“We offer wildlife photography throughout the year, with opportunities to capture black grouse in the spring and deer during the autumn.”
