The sights and sounds of a north-east visitor attraction are being made available online for the first time, with coronavirus having forced its closure for the entire season.
Fraserburgh Heritage Centre has created a virtual tour featuring all of its current exhibitions.
The video is being made available for people to enjoy around the world from the comfort of their own home.
For a small fee, tickets grant users 180 hours’ access to the site, which includes an hour-long tour using audio from local contributors as well as video and photographic images of the exhibitions.
The award-winning attraction’s secretary Chris Reid said: “The tour is absolutely fabulous and extremely professional.
“We want to encourage folk to use it as we didn’t manage to open due to coronavirus this year.
“We want people to sit in their armchairs with a cup of coffee and enjoy the live narrative and anecdotal text.
“The audio tour features local accents, so there’s plenty Doric to be heard too.”
The tour has been created by Stonehaven hospitality firm owner Susan Emmison.
“Susan approached us offering to do this earlier in the year but at that time we were busing preparing to open as usual in March,” Chris said.
“We went back to her and asked if she was still interested and she’s done a wonderful job.
“We would encourage everyone to watch the tour online, especially children, as the usual school visits couldn’t take place either.”
The heritage centre’s exhibits chart four centuries of north-east history with the online tour costing £6.
