Women aged between 50 and 70 are being urged to attend examinations aimed at detecting the early signs of breast cancer.
The North East Scotland Mobile Breast Screening Service will run sessions from the Turriff Cottage Hospital car park in Balmellie Road from Tuesday, November 3, for around 10 weeks.
Invitations are been sent, around three weeks in advance, to eligible women registered with the town’s medical centre.
Service manager Sarah Philip said: “We hope women invited for the first time will take advantage of their invitation for mammography and, for women who have been screened previously, it is important to attend to ensure there have been no changes over the past three years.
“The risk of developing breast cancer increases as you get older, so if any woman missed or failed to attend their previous invitation, it is still important to come along for screening this time.”
