A nurse sacked after claims he posed for photographs wearing patients’ underwear will face no further action by police.
Officers had been called in to investigate auxiliary nurse James Turner, 21, after a number of allegations over his conduct at work were made.
Mr Turner, who worked in the acute geriatric ward at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, was dismissed on Thursday following a NHS Grampian probe.
Last night, police said the underwear in the pictures was not the personal property of patients but had been removed from hospital stores.
Police Scotland also received allegations of theft but last night reported that no such crimes had been reported.
There was also no evidence to back-up further claims of improper use of medication, it is understood.
Detective Inspector Robert Dow, of the specialist crime division, said: “These allegations were of a distressing nature and it is only right that Police Scotland and NHS Grampian conducted inquiries into the circumstances.
“I want to reassure the public that there is no evidence so far to suggest any form of criminality.”
