VIDEO: Man killed in A90 crash near Peterhead

A 66-year-old man has died following a two vehicle crash near Peterhead this morning.

The accident happened on the A90 near the power station.

The man was driving north in a blue Peugeot 508 when the collision happened.

A second person, who was driving a black BMW, has been airlifted to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary with serious injuries.

The road is currently closed between the A982 junction and the B910 Station Road junction while police investigate the crash.

There is a diversion in operation via the Toll of Birness, Ring road roundabout A982, A90 and A975 at Cruden Bay. Police are directing traffic.
