The incident happened on the B9119 Aberdeen to Tarland road on Saturday afternoon. A Vauxhall Corsa collided with an Audi close to Millers Ltd just before midday. Two fire crews from Banchory went to the scene and used hydraulic equipment to free the woman from the Corsa. She was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary but police said her injuries were not life-threatening. A man who was travelling in the Audi also suffered minor injuries, although it is understood he did not require hospital treatment. The road was closed for a short time to allow the vehicles to be recovered.
