Organisers of the four-day event at Longside put together a packed programme of fun, games and entertainment. The celebrations began on Thursday evening with a duck race at Cairngall Burn and a concert featuring dance bland Garioch Blend and Eddie Rose. An evening of family games and a race night was held at the village the following day. Saturday’s line-up began with a pipe band-led parade, including Theatre Modo stilt walkers and belly dancers. The gala was officially opened by Peterhead FC star Dean Cowie. One of the biggest draws of the weekend was a gig by Oasis tribute band Noasis in the festival marquee. Yesterday, crowds continued to descend on the village for the gala’s classic car show.
