Thousands of well-wishers have been lining the streets of Aberdeen to cheer on the Queen’s Baton Relay as it passes through the city.
Armed with flags, thousands of spectators, from the very young to the very old, have turned out to catch a glimpse of the historic event.
Dons legend Willie Miller teed things off from Royal Aberdeen Golf Club earlier today and the baton has already travelled through Bridge of Don and Northfield.
Baton bearer and birthday girl Shona Mutch was delighted to be serenaded by the crowd as she took her turn on Laurel Drive.
The baton relay finished in Union Terrace gardens with a party and live music for all those taking part in the procession.
It will now move onto Shetland tomorrow morning, before heading back south through Scotland on its way to Glasgow for the start of the games.
