Police are appealing for witnesses after a cyclist was randomly attacked as he made his way home from work.
The man was pulled off his bike on the Holburn Street footbridge around 6.30pm on Wednesday, July 2.
Officers are looking for a man who was out walking two dogs with a woman when he targeted the cyclist.
The suspect is in his 30s, about 5ft 8in tall and stocky.
He had short brown hair, and was wearing a blue T-shirt and black shorts. He was accompanied by a blonde haired woman and two dogs, one believed to be a Jack Russell and the other a slightly larger breed.
The pair were last seen heading west towards the old railway line path and Garthdee.
Constable Sean Gulland of the Nigg community policing team, said: “This was an unprovoked attack on an innocent member of the public and we are extremely keen to identify the person responsible as soon as possible.
“We are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who recognises the description of the male assailant or indeed anyone who recognises the descriptions of the dogs and their owners.”
