A man has been arrested in connection with a series of fires which broke out in Aberdeen earlier this week.
Police said the 26-year-old was reported to the procurator fiscal in connection with five blazes which happened on Sunday, July 6, and Monday, July 7.
In each case, rubbish in bins was set alight in the early hours of the morning. The fires took place in the Tillydrone and Seaton areas.
Tillydrone inspector Darren Bruce said: “Although these fires were caught early and damage has been limited, fires can have terrible consequences.
“For that reason, officers have been working hard to catch those responsible. We treat fires seriously and will investigate thoroughly to ensure public safety.”
