The poorest and most vulnerable people in Aberdeen have been lent a helping hand with the opening of a new depot in the city’s flagship shopping centre.
The charity Instant Neighbour is opening its first Home Comforts store in Union Square, where it will provide practical help to those who need it most.
The shop, which officially opened yesterday, will provide a varied range of affordable, convenient and nearly new furniture, as well as a baby care department.
It will also stock a selection of white goods and electrical items.
All money raised will be used to keep prices low and help those who are experiencing difficult situations.
The shop will also allow Instant Neighbour to help more people develop the skills to get a job.
