A warrant has been issued for the arrest of an Aberdeen man who skipped his court appearance to go to T in the Park.
Scott Walker was due to appear before Sheriff Annella Cowan at yesterday accused of drink driving on November 10 last year.
However when his case at the city’s sheriff court called, the 23-year-old was no where to be seen.
Representing Walker, of 19 Glenhome Gardens, Dyce, solicitor Iain McGregor said his client was “well aware” he had to attend court but had decided to go to the music festival instead.
Mr McGregor asked the court to consider continuing the case to another date to allow him to appear in person.
However Sheriff Cowan issued a warrant for his arrest after it was requested by the Crown.
Walker is accused of driving a car along Auchmill Road in Aberdeen more than one-and-a-half times the legal limit. It is alleged he had 60 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35mcg.
Walker denies the charges and is expected to go on trial later this year.
