Image: DC Thomson. A woman was taken to hospital after being rescued from a flat fire in Aberdeen’s city centre. The blaze broke out at a property on Craigie Street, off George Street, at around 5.15pm on Saturday. Three fire crews were called to the incident. The blaze was brought under control by 5.40pm. The woman was taken by ambulance to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesman added: “We were called to the scene at 5.25pm and tended to one woman who was suffering from smoke inhalation. “The woman was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for further treatment.” A Police Scotland spokesman said: “We are not investigating the incident as it is believed it was an accidental fire.”
