A former Dons player has been charged with allegedly assaulting a dog walker with a plastic ball thrower.
Doug Rougvie allegedly hit 24-year-old Liam Baxter on the head, as he was walking his dog in a park near Stronsay Drive in Aberdeen.
Rougvie won the Scottish Cup three times with the Dons in 1982, 1983 and 1984.
Mr Baxter said the football legend became “unbelievably aggressive” when his dog Molly ran over to the ex-player’s dog.
Mr Rougvie, 58, initially thought it was another woman’s dog, and allegedly began to shout at her.
He claims that Mr Rougvie then began hitting him with a plastic dog thrower.
