The colourful history of radical street politics in Aberdeen in the 1920s and 30s will be explored during a new city walking tour.
Historian Chris Croly and lead curator Judith Stones will host the event, which will take in some of the more historically important venues in the Castlegate area, on Friday.
Some spaces are still available on the new walk, which has been added to the ever-popular Summer City series hosted by Aberdeen Art Gallery and Museums.
Mr Croly said: “This is a really interesting new tour, in which we will explore the history of radical street politics in Aberdeen in the 1920s and 30s, as well as visiting St Peter’s Chapel in the Castlegate – one of the true hidden gems of the city.”
The walk will finish in the Tolbooth with a tour of the Best in Scotland exhibition, where visitors can see first-hand the original 12th century charters granted to Aberdeen among material dating from the time of Robert the Bruce through to World War II.
Booking in advance is essential. Call 01224 523677 to reserve a space on the walk, which starts at the Tolbooth at 2.30pm.
