Police are appealing for information after a dog was killed this afternoon in a hit-and-run in Aberdeen.
The accident, which involved a white Staffordshire Bull Terrier, happened at around 2pm on Hilton Drive.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “The dog died as a result.”
Officers have been unable to confirm what type of car was involved, but have urged the driver to come forward and help establish what happened.
They are also seeking anyone with information.
The spokesman added: “Police Scotland would like to appeal for the driver to come forward or anyone who may have seen a car, which was possibly dark-coloured, in the area at the time to contact them on 101.”
