Police are investigating after a man was found injured on an Aberdeen street.
Officers were called to Commerce Street, near Aberdeen Beach, just after midnight.
The road was closed all night and the northbound carriageway between the Beach Boulevard roundabout and Virginia Street remains blocked, with diversions in place.
Police say they are still trying to establish what happened.
A spokesman for the force said: “Police Scotland can confirm that emergency services attended the report of an injured male on Commerce Street, Aberdeen, just after midnight.
“Investigations continue into the incident.
“Police Scotland are appealing for any witnesses or persons who have information in relation to the incident and ask they contact Police Scotland on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
There has been a knock-on effect for traffic as a result of the road closure with heavier-than-usual congestion on Market Street, Virginia Street and South College Street.
Drivers are advised to avoid travelling near the area where possible.
