Bringing a touch of glamour to Aberdeen Beach were the Lady Boys of Bangkok as they helped raise the profile of a Marie Curie Cancer Care campaign.
The flamboyant cabaret act took to the beach front to help promote Walk Ten, which sees families and friends raise money simply by going for a stroll.
The troupe, who wore T-shirts with the Walk Ten banner, were encouraging people in the north-east to sign up to the newest Walk Ten event at Glamis Castle, Angus, on Saturday, September 6.
Fundraising manager for the north of Scotland Carolyn Snedden said: “We’d really like to thank the Lady Boys for striding out at the beach and encouraging everyone to sign up.
“It’s an exciting time – it’s the first year we have had an event at Glamis Castle and it really is such a beautiful walk.
“The reason the 10k walks end at 10pm is because that’s when the Marie Curie nurses start their shift at a patient’s house, so it’s a celebration of what they do.
“We’d like to see as many people as possible giving it their support.”
Marie Curie’s largest walking fundraising event, each 10k jaunt is open to people of all ages and abilities and will feature music and entertainment.
Other Scottish circuits take place on Saturday, July 26 at Dalkeith Country Estate and on Saturday, August 16 at Pollok Park in Glasgow.
The Lady Boys of Bangkok have returned to the Granite City with their latest production – Red Hot Kisses – which will be held at their custom-built Sabai Pavilion on the city’s Beach Links until July 27.
